Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Welcome to the 15 Minute Bible Walk Today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We're so blessed you're joining us.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Last time we left off in Genesis chapter 11, and we left off in verse number six, where the Lord had come down to observe what's going on here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And he sees this tower, he sees his people.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And he says, everyone here is one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They all have one language.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:This thing they begin to do, nothing will be able to be restrained from them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Everything they've imagined to do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And we left off with the understanding that, just like Jesus said, whatsoever things you ask, when you pray, believe you receive it, you'll have it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Where two or more come together in my name and ask anything that shall be given to him of our Father in heaven.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Here we see the same thing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The power of agreement is in the place here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The power of agreement is in place right here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God said, the thing they're imagining to do is not good.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:This is not good at all.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So verse seven, as we're going to start with today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Genesis chapter 11, verse seven.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Go to.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In other words, let's go.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We got to go down here and confound their language that they may not understand one another's speech.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So the Lord scattered them abroad from there upon the face of all the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They left off to build the city.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In other words, they stopped building the city.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You see God coming down.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So we need to put a stop to this or it's going to get out of control.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And nothing will be impossible for them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They'll just come together and agree to do something.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Whether it's good or bad, it's going to come to pass.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So we got to slow this process down because it's not time for the end of the world yet.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Jesus hadn't come back.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And it's too soon for all this to be happening.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So God goes in and confounds their language.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, you know, they're sitting there talking to their best friend, and all of a sudden they don't understand what their best friend's saying.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He doesn't understand what they're saying.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Like, what's wrong with you?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:What do you mean?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And so now they're walking around, you know, I mean, think about this would put it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Put a damper on the party real quick, wouldn't it?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And they're walking around, you know, yelling for, you know, and all of a sudden they hear, oh, I understand this person.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They get together.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Oh, man.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You understand me?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yeah, I understand.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Oh, okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Well, let's find there's I don't know.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I don't know what's going on around here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And then, oh, I hear here, hey, hey, hey, you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Hey, John.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And they start forming up in their little clicks, their little clan.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The, you know, not clans, but, you know, the, the groups.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And now they're coming together.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay, well, everyone over here, you know, you speak this language, you know, and I don't know how they pick their languages.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And maybe they named it after whoever the, the leader of that little group was.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But anyway, they start forming up in their little bands and they started, you know, well, we can't stay here, you know, it's too crowded.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's move.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's go over here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, we, we got flocks and, and sheep and all that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's go over here where these parachute.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We'll just take this land and, and they'll, you know, they probably drew on the map with people they didn't understand.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:With me, I'll go here and you go there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yeah, yeah, it sounds good.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And then that's how all this stuff started splitting up.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So they started drifting away from there to go and populate the reaches of the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And that's where I wanted to get that, out there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And because verse nine says, scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 10.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:These are the generations of Shem.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now remember, he is son number one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He is Noah's number one son.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's going to be important as we go through the Bible here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was a hundred years old and begot our faxed two years after the flood.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem lived after he begot our faxed 500 years begetting sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now we'll go up here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem lived after he begat arfexed 500 years, begetting sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So Shem dies being 600 years old.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Because remember, Shem was 100 years old when our Foxid was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So after that he lived another 500 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So he's 600 years old.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's important.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Our fax had lived 35 years, beginning Selah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Our Fexa lived after he begot selah 403 years, begetting sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Salad lived 30 years and begot Aber say lived after he begot aber 403 years, beginning sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Aber lived 40, 34 years, beginning peleg.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And a Aber lived after he got Peleg 430 years, beginning sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Peleg, verse 18.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Lived 30 years, beginning Reu, verse 19.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Peleg lived after he begat Reu 209 years beginning sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 20.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Rahu lived 32 years and begat Serug.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Rahu lived after begat say rug 207 years begetting sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Saharug lived 30 years and begotten lived after we got Nahor 200 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We got sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Nahor lived 29 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Began Tara.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Nayor lived after begot Tara 119 years beginning sons and daughters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 26.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Tara lived 70 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And we got Abram, Nahor and Haran.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We know who Abram is.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's important.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's why I went through this.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:These are the generations of terror.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Terror.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We got Abram, Nahor and Haran.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Haram begot Lot.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Haran died before his father Terah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In the land of his Nativity in Ur of the Chaldees.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 29.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Abram and Nahor took them wives.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The name of Abram's wife was Sarai.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The name of Nahor's wife Milcah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and the father of Ishka.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But Sarai was barren and she had no child.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 31.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Terah took Abram his son.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Lot, the son of Haran, his son's son.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And they went forth with them from Ur, the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And they came unto Haran and dwelt there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the days of terror were 205 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Tara died in Haran.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was 390 years of.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You take all those numbers and add them all up.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 10.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was 100 years old begot our faxa.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He was 100 when our faxid was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And over here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Heron begot lot.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 27.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Iran died before his father Tara.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was 390 years old.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's look.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I'm sorry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's look at.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Tara lived 70.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:70 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We got Abram.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So when Shem was still alive.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When Abram was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's what I want to get to.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was 390 years old when Abram was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Abram live or Shem lived 500 and years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:600.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He lives 600 years.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem was 600 years old when he died.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He was 390 years old when Abram was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So he still had another 210 years to live.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I want you to hold that thought because it is important.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It is very important.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And I'm going to reference back to it next time the scripture comes up where we need to take a look at this.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So understand.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem, the son of Noah, was still alive when Abram was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And he lived 210 years after Abram was born.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So that concludes chapter number 11.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's go now to chapter 12 and verse 1.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, the Lord had said to Abram, get the out of that country from their kindred, from your father's house, onto a land that I will show you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, up here in chapter 11 it says, Terran, verse 31, chapter 11, verse 31.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Terah took Abram, his son Lot, the son of Haran, his son's son, Sarah, daughter Law, his son Abram's wife.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They went forth from them and went forth from them, from Ur of the Chaldees to go into the land of Canaan.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They came to Haran and dwelt there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But yet the Lord had said to Abram, you need to leave your father behind.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You need to get out on your own, boy.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's what you read here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So get out from your own country.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Well, they left the land they were in.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They went to Canaan, he said, from your father's house.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Well, he didn't do that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:To a land that I will show you of.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He didn't do that either.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He followed Tara, his dad.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But now Tara's dead.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And now when God tells you do something, he waits for you to do it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You want to do your own thing, go right ahead.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And it's not going to work out.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Abram's finding that out.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God come down back here now and says, you need to leave.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You need to follow and go where I told you to go is I'm going to make of you a great nation.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:A great nation.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And I will bless you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I will make your name great so that you shall be a blessing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And I will bless them that bless you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I will curse him that curses you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Where did we hear that before?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That was the blessing upon Noah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Noah had three sons.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem is son number one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Who is the great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather of Abram.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Shem is still alive.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Abram knows Shem.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He may not know him.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, they may be living apart and they may be, you know, miles and miles and miles apart and not have much interaction, but I can guarantee Abram knows his family tree.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So Abram here, he says, I will bless you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Well, we heard that before.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And now God, the God of Shem, who's the son of Noah, the God of Noah, the same God of Shem.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Noah is now appearing to Abram and says, you need to do what I tell you to do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When you do that, I will bless you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And all the families of the earth will be blessed because of you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And we know he's very familiar with the flood story.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right, that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So now Abram's getting a little excited here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay, Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And we're gonna take it up right there next time.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Leave your comments down below.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let me know what you think of this Bible study so far.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I'm having fun.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I just enjoy digging into these things in the word of God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And I'm trying to stay on topic as far as what we're doing here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But sometimes, you know, I got notes all over my Bible.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You can't see it on the radio or on the podcast, but you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I gotta know it's all over my Bible, because that's just how I learn.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay, I see something.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I got arrows going over different pages and all that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Don't be afraid to write in your Bible, folks.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It's there for a reason.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:To help you love the word of God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Hallelujah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Anyway, we're all the time for today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Till next time is Pastor, by reminding you to be blessed, but you do.
