Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Welcome to the 15 Minute Bible Walk for today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We're so blessed you're joining us.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We left off last time finishing up Genesis chapter seven.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So we're going to jump right now into Genesis chapter 8, beginning in verse 1.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God remembered Noah and every living thing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And all the cattle was with him in the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God made a wind pass over the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the waters of sage, in other words, they started going away.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The fountains also the deep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the windows of heaven were stopped.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the rain from heaven was restrained.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the waters returned from off the earth continually.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And after the end of the 150 days, the waters were abated.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the 17th day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So from start to finish, so far they've had five months of floating around.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So three months more till the mountaintops appeared.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right, so we have five months floating around.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Three more months now, and the mountaintops appear.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And it came to pass at the end of another 40 days.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And he sent forth a raven which went forth to and fro till the waters were dried up from off the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He also sent forth a dove from him to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But the dove found no rest for the soles of her feet.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So she returned to him in the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For the waters were still on the face of the whole earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And they put forth his hand, took her in and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And he stayed another seven days.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the dove came to him in the evening.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So at that point in time has been 11 months and 17 days that they've been there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 12.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:He stayed another seven days and sent forth the dove, which did not return to him again anymore.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So that was now the 24th day of the 11th month.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It came to pass in the 601st year.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And behold, the face of the ground was dry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And in the second month, on the 27th day of the month the earth was dried.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So it's now been one year, one year in the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And verse 15, God spoke to Noah, saying, go forth from the ark, you and your wife, your sons, your sons, wives with you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Bring forth with you every living thing that's with you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Of all fish, fowl, of cattle, of creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth and be fruitful and multiply upon the earth, Noah went forth, his sons, his wife, his sons with him.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Every beast, every creeping thing, every foul, whatsoever creeps upon the earth after their kinds went forth out of the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And Noah built an altar unto the Lord and took of every clean beast, a clean beast.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And of every clean, foul, every burnt and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Did God command this of Noah?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Did God command an offering from Noah?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:No.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It was offered out of praise and thanksgiving by Noah for bringing him through the flood and preserving his.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:His family.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Preserving the.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Using him to preserve life on the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So when you give God a love offering.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:When you give a love offering, that's not required.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You're doing it out of the love of your heart.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:God responds by blessing you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's see what.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:What happens now here in verse 21.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the Lord smelled a sweet savior.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:A sweet smell.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the Lord said in his heart, I will no longer again curse the ground anymore for man's sake.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Neither will I again smite any more every living thing as I have just done.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 22 is a very important verse, and I want you to understand it in the sense of seed, time and harvest that we talk about and sowing love offerings and all that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:While the earth remains.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Is the earth still here right now?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Are we still physically in the earth?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Is the earth still physically here?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Yes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:While the earth remains.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Seed, time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, I like saying it like this.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:While the earth remains.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And we're still here right now.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So while we are still in the earth right now, seed, time and harvest will remain.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Cold and heat will remain.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Summer and winter will remain.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Day and night will remain.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It will not cease as long as the earth remains.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise the Lord.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let's move on now to Genesis chapter nine, beginning in verse one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God blessed Noah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, what did I just say?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Noah offered this sacrifice, this offering out of his love, out of his appreciation for what God did for him.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And God smelled it again.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I want to reemphasize when you offer an offering to the Lord out of the love of your heart, God responds by blessing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Herod.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Chapter 9, verse 1 says, and God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves on the earth, upon all the fish of the sea.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For into your hand are they delivered.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That means they now have dominion over all the animals.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now stop and think about this.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For over a year, these animals have been on the ark.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Who's been feeding them?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Who's been taking care of them?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Who's been cleaning them?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Who's been cleaning up their messes?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Noah and his son.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So these animals have gotten used to having these people around here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:God's saying he's bringing that separation now where the animals will no longer want to be around them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:They'll be afraid of them.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And that's what we see in nature today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 3.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Every moving thing that lives is meat for you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You can eat it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You can eat it all.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Every living thing.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So this stuff about, well, this pork is.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Is.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, folks, it says here, every living thing is meat for you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, the Jewish customs of, you know, what you got from the law, right?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The dietary restrictions in the law, they were established for a reason, which was, you know, to make sure that they're eating healthy and all that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And those are still good to follow.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right, but is it a sin to eat pork chops?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:No.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right, we'll just say that straight up.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:No.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Pork chops are good.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Now, you may not like pork, okay?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You know, that's up to you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But it's what they say, up to you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I don't like spicy food.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The spiciest food Pastor Bob eats is a pepperoni pizza.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And you, if.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:If my wife's cooking and she puts a little bit too much black pepper on something, nope, I don't like spice.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I don't like it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And that's a personal preference.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And it's the same thing with eating pork chops or deer or fish or whatever you want to do, it's up to rattlesnake.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I've had rattlesnake.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I've had alligator before.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I've had buffalo before.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But the point I'm trying to make is it's a personal preference of you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:It's not a sin to Eat a pork chop.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's the point I'm trying to make.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Matter of fact, I might have pork chops tonight.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Back in the Bible.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We got a couple minutes left.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Every morning or.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I'm sorry.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Verse 3.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Every moving thing that lives shall be meat for you.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Even as the green herb, I've given you all things.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So you can eat the vegetables and you can eat the animals.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, you shall not eat.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:In other words, you don't eat it raw, you don't drink the blood, all that stuff.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Surely your blood of your lives, I will require.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:At the hand of every beast, I'll require it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And at the hand of man, at the hand of every man's brother, I will require the life of a man.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau: ence all that back in Hebrews: Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Whoever sheds a man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:For in the image of God he made man.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:So here we go.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Is the death penalty a sin?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:No.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Life for life.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right, the point being, if a human being takes another person's life intentionally, how can I say this lore illegally, okay?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Self defense.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:That's not illegal.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:A police officer in the discharge of his duties is not illegal as long as he can articulate the reasons why he was in fear for his life or the life of others and all that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:A soldier in combat, not illegal for him to take the life of an enemy soldier.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Okay?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:What he's talking about here is you just get mad at somebody, haul off and bang them upside the head with a baseball bat, and they die.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Your life should be taken.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I don't care what the liberals say.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I don't care what, you know, the politicians say.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:The Bible says it right here, life for life, eye for eye.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:You need to institute capital punishment now.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:If you disagree with that, leave your comments down below.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:We're going to stop right there for today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Be sure to leave your comments down below.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let me know if you're in favor of capital punishment.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let me know if you're in favor of saying God's word is wrong.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Go ahead.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Leave your comments down below.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Let me know if you believe God's word is wrong.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:I want to see who that is.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Praise God.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Because the point we're trying to make here is God is right all the time.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:And all the time God is right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Notice I didn't say God is left, I said God is right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:But that's for another day.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:All right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:Till next time.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:This Pastor Bob reminded you to be blessed in all that you do.
