Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hello everyone, everywhere.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Welcome to your 15 minute Bible walk today.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And we're so blessed you're joining us.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We left off last time with Melchizedek coming to Abraham or Abram at the time wasn't Abraham.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And we discussed the very real possibility, especially when you go through the Jewish traditions and the Talmud and all that that identifies Shem as Melchizedek or Melchizedek as Shem, son of Noah, who was carrying the mantle basically of the anointing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's why he's recognized as the high priest of the most high God, because he's the one who had the direct blessing from Noah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

God bless Noah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Noah bless Shem.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's got to be one of his bloodline that takes the mantle from him.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he's looking, remember, he's 600 years old.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This guy is.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He's alive at the same time as Abram.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He's been looking, you know, he's probably been praying.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

God, who is going to take this over?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It has to be somebody that, that can handle the responsibility.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Someone that, you know, someone that you are blessing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You got to show me who this is.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's probably what his prayer has been.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And then word comes, hey, one of your descendants just defeated four armies of Sodom and Gomorrah, that whole area.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And they.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He defeated four armies with 300 people trained in his own house.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And Shem, it's like that is the sign of God's blessing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's the only way that could happen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That is a miraculous victory.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It has to be his chosen one.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So Shem and ours thinking here, Melchizedek, the high priest was really Shem hunted down Abram, I gotta go to this guy.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he got there just, you know, according to the Bible, right here, right after the battle, when the kings came to Abram and said, you know, hey, you know, just give us this, this, that, and you can, you can have all the stuff and all that stuff.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just give us the people.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We want our people back.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But that happened right after what we see here in verse 18.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Melchizedek, king of Salem, which we're calling Shem, son of Noah, brought forth bread and wine.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Those are covenant things, bread and wine, even emphasized by Jesus, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

For he was the priest of the most high God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And Melchizedek, Shem blessed Abram and said, blessed be Abram of the most high God possessor, who is the possessor of heaven and earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So here we see Shem at this point in time, at this point in time.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Abram's 85 years old.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Shem is 475 years old.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Shem lived another 125 years after this.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But for all this time, if you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, if you go back and do the counting on the years, that's where we're at, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Shem's 80.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Abrams, 85.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Still got 15 years till his son's born.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Shem is.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He was 390 when Abram was born.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So 85 years.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So that makes Shem four hundred and seventy five years old.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He's still alive.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He's still got one hundred and twenty five more years to live.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But he's been wondering who's going to take this over.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And now he knows.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So he gives God's blessing to Abram.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They cut covenant together.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Bread and wine.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They take covenant together.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Abram gives him ties.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Verse 20.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He says, possess.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We'll start verse 19.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He blessed him, said, blessed is Abram of the most high God, who is the possessor of heaven and earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he be blessed by the most high God which has delivered your enemies into your hand.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And Abram gave him tithes of all he had, not just all of what he took from the battle.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He says he gave him ties of all.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Where did he learn that from?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He gave Shem.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, remember we talked several episodes back that Abram knew who Shem was.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Abram knew.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hey, you know, this guy, you know, in your bloodline way back, you know, this guy is him, son of Noah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And, you know, he's the king of the.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Right, you know, settling in the Jerusalem area, obviously.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

King of Salem, which is Jerusalem, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he says, you know, he knows this guy is him.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But Shem doesn't know who Abram is until now, when word spread, you know, I gotta go down there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I gotta meet this guy.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he recognized the anointing on Abram right there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And he cut covenant with Abram, said, you are blessed by the most high God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And then Abram blessed Shem with ties of all.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

At that point in time, the king of Sodom and Gomorrah, you know, they know who Shem is.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They hear, they.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They've heard about this guy, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And they're like, hey, let's impress him too.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We're going to give Abram every, you know, hey, you can have it all.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just give us the people to us.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can have all the good for yourself.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand under the Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Did he do that when did Abram lift his hand up, Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Capital L O R D.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Aloeem.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Right.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I have lifted up my hand.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Honda Elohim, the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Oh, wait a minute.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We just heard something back up to where the blessing was given to Abram by Shem.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He blessed and said, blessed be Abram of the Most High God over here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He said, I've lifted up my hand to the most high God possessor.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Be Abraham of the Most High God, possessor of heaven on earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I have lifted up my hand to the the Elohim, the Lord, the Most High God, the possessor of heaven and earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He's got it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He got it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He knows he's blessed right now.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He is blessed by God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I don't need nothing from nobody.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

God is my provider from this moment forward.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Don't shout me down when I'm preaching.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Good.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hallelujah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He says, I will not take from a thread even to a shoelace.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

A shoelace.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'm not going to take anything that's yours.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Lest you should try and say I made Abram rich.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because that's what would happen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He said, I'm giving you everything.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just get the people to me because I can put them back to work.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We get all this back.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He said, nope, I don't need you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I raised my hand.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When did he raise his hand?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When they cut covenant.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Are you getting this?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is important stuff moving forward, folks.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise the Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is important stuff.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He goes, I have made a covenant with Almighty God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I won't take nothing that doesn't belong to me.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Everything I get from this moment forward comes from God who praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hallelujah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because I won't even take a shoelace from you unless you say, I try.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Try to say I made Abram rich.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

The only thing I ask is the young men.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just give us what the young men have already eaten and the portion of the men which went down with me.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So you can give a portion to them if you want.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's all I ask.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And with me was Ayner, Eskal and Mamre.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let them take their portion.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But I don't need nothing from you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now I'm going to read chapter 15, verse one, because I want you to see what's going to happen next.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And we'll cover this in the next episode.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Says after these things, after Abram did this, after Abram met, he met.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I don't want to say his idol.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I don't want to do that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's a bad term.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He met Shem.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He'd heard so much about Noah and the flood and their descendants and.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And how, you know, they're their ancestors.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And my bloodline comes all the way back to Noah himself.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And we're through Shem's line, you know, like that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And Shem is blessed of God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He is like the high priest of God on this earth right now because, you know, it's through him, the blessings coming and all this.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And now, you know, he gets to meet him.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He got to meet Noah's son, who represents the most high God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And this guy just blessed Abram.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Anointing Abram.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Moving forward, you are now from your loins will come the descendants God's looking for.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hallelujah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's what we're getting out of this, folks.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

After these things, the word of the Lord, Jehovah, Yahweh himself came to Abram in a vision, saying, do not fear, Abram.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I am your shield and your exceedingly great reward.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

There's promise number three.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Oh, what do you mean, number three?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay, I'll go back and read promise number one.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All the land you see before you, I'm giving it to you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Promise number one.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Number two.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Promise number two.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'll make your descendants as the dust of the earth.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's back in chapter 13, verses 15 and 16.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All right, promise one.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'm blessing you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Promise two.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Everywhere you go, everything you see.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is all yours now, boy.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And your descendants.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Promise number one.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

All of the stuff you see belongs to you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Number two.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You're going to have descendants as numerous as the sea, as numerous as the sand in the sea.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's promise number two.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And now we see promise number three.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I am the most high God himself.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I am your shield.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'll be protecting you from this moment forward.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And I am your exceedingly great reward.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's the third promise now that he's gotten from God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise the Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We're going to leave it right there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I got the Holy Ghost bumps all over me right now.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I hope you do, too.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise the Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Isn't this powerful stuff?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You just take your time and look at this.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's what we are doing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We're going verse by verse through the Bible on this podcast, and it's going to take us.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You know, this isn't something that's going to be finished in 10 months or 12 months.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'm anticipating three years of this.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But I tell you what, you stick with me.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Oh, praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can't help but be blessed.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I mean, I'm just.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I'm chomping at the bed.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I want to do like 10 of these episodes every single day.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Get it done.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But that's not what I'm being led to do as a daily thing because I want a spoon feed.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If I give you too much, you won't remember what we're talking about.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So drop down the show notes.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Tell me what you think about what we just studied today.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

To me, this is so powerful.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It is so powerful.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Powerful.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can't help but be blessed.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You can't help but be excited.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If this doesn't set you on fire right now, it's because your wood's wet.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise God.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It's time to dry out, too.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Hallelujah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's all the time we have for today.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Praise the Lord.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Till next time, Pastor Bob, reminding you to be blessed in all that you do.

About the Podcast

15 Minute Daily Bible Walk
Verse by Verse Through The Bible
This has been a project I have been contemplating for a long time.

Join me in walking through the Bible on our personal Bible study - one verse at at time. There is no "preaching" here. Just simple scripture reading with brief explanations and examples of what the scripture mean.

I was inspired to do this project based upon the program "Through The Bible" with Dr. Jay Veron McGee (who is passed on to be with the Lord for several years now). When I first started to study the Bible, his radio program helped me immensely. It took Dr. McGee 5 years to do a complete Bible Study.

I do not know how long it will take us. But you can start listening at anytime. My goal is to create a new episode each and every day (365 days per year).

Of course, "sometimes" life will get in the way (for many reasons). But I will pick it right back up where we left off (and try to catch up the days that were missed - to help keep us on track).

As I continue to add more episodes, you can join us at the most recent program or start at the beginning. Each episode is labeled as to the scriptures we are going to discuss.

I am so blessed you are here and I pray you will get a huge blessing as we join together in a "15 Minute Daily Bible Walk!" Amen!

About your host

Profile picture for Robert Thibodeau

Robert Thibodeau

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
